By using any product or service from DegenDesigns, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use our products. We've written this to be as plain and readable as possible — legalese helps nobody.
§ 1

Acceptance of Terms

Using our products or services means you've read these Terms of Service, you understand them, and you agree to follow them. If you're not on board with any part of this, that's completely fine — just don't use our stuff.

§ 2

Right to Refuse Service

We're a small team and we care about what we build. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if we have good reason to believe our products are being used for illegal, harmful, or socially unacceptable purposes. This includes illegal activity, abuse, or modifications that create unintended risks to others.

§ 3

Your Responsibility

You agree to use our products responsibly, within their intended purpose, and within their designed operating parameters. You are solely responsible for how you use them — including making sure you understand safe operation before you dive in.

Our products are designed to be safe when used as intended. Please read any included documentation, and don't skip the bits you find boring — they're there for a reason.

§ 4

No Liability for Misuse

DegenDesigns is not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses that result from irresponsible use of our products — including use of modified, altered, or unauthorised versions. By using our products, you accept all associated risks, including personal injury and property damage.

Reminder: DegenShackles and similar products are DIY electronics kits. They are experimental, not mass-market consumer devices, and have not gone through CE, FCC, or equivalent certification. If you're comfortable with basic electronics and understand you're assembling something yourself, you'll be fine — we just want you going in clear-eyed.
§ 5

Product Modifications

We believe in repairability and full ownership — that means you're free to open, fix, and tinker with what you buy. That said, any modifications beyond the designed specifications are done entirely at your own risk. We don't endorse changes that push products outside their intended parameters, and we can't provide warranty support for modified units.

§ 6

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DegenDesigns shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or misuse of our products or services. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — such as loss of data, lost profits, or personal injury.

We build things we're genuinely proud of and we back them with a real warranty. But we are a small team, and we cannot accept unlimited liability.

§ 7

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If anything changes significantly, we'll let our community know via Discord. Continued use of our products after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
